Activities for Week 8… Great Job!
The Grand Finale… Final Project Presentations.
  • From Gabe’s desert food web presentation, what would happen if another animal or invasive species entered the food web?
  • From Brock’s sustainability stack-ons to the H&A former MGP site in Alliance, OH, what other improvements would you add?
  • From Rosa’s project on the ecosystem of Pleasant Pond, look at your backyard (or around where you live) and see how the plants, animals, humans, and insects interact. What animals, plants, and insects live there? What type of place do you live in (urban, suburban or rural)? How does that affect the ecosystem around you? How do humans impact the animal and plant life? How do the animals and plants change how you live?
  • From Josie’s presentation on an inter-tidal zone in the Pacific Northwest, choose a city located on the ocean, look up the tide chart for the city on the internet and follow the instructions on the worksheet she will post on Facebook.
  • From Edward’s project calculation of how much H&A could save if all employees worked from home, what are some ways we can save on electrical costs for the company (If we got that wrong, Edward, please feel free to correct ).
  • From Zoë and Zach’s presentation on becoming a sustainable family by 2030, make a “musical family” of your favorite music by organizing your albums in a sustainable circle where each one complements the next, with the last album complementing the original first one.
